Good morning! Two days left in the contest, get up. listen, bring those code words to the website, win!! As of this morning, the countdown is still 8 days until reopening so, use your head, help stop the spread for a few more days. We still have hourly updates on the air and of course, you can come to the site for the most up to date information. I woke up this morning and a great thought popped in my head….. we’re really stocking up on PTO!! Whenever the world opens back up, we’ll have the time to enjoy it! My #throwbackthursday memory for today is sweet….and bold…that’s what the ads used to say about it anyway. Y’all remember Mr. Pibb? I know they have a new version of it in some fancy can but, I’m talking about good ole, not quite Dr. Pepper, Mr. Pibb. I think I recall the commercials saying something like ‘dare to be different’, Coca-Colas’ answer to Dr. Pepper was born in ’72. I don’t know what it was about the commercials but, I was a fan and, had a little disdain for Peppers(you have to be old enough to remember their “I’m a Pepper” campaign to get the reference). I haven’t been a fan of carbonated beverages for over 10 years now and, to tell the truth, I can’t remember if Mr. Pibb was actually better than Dr. Pepper or not, just have memories of one in my lunch….yeah, that’s it, that’s all I got for this #tbt. I know, what an exciting day when old school soda is on your mind in the morning….I’ll do better tomorrow. Pour another cup and turn the radio up….yup.
