Coronavirus Survived on Ship 17 Days after Passengers Left
Recently, the Center for Disease Control, or CDC, reported that the Coronavirus disease survived on the Diamond Princess cruise ship 17 days after passengers left. An earlier study by the CDC proved that COVID-19 could live on surfaces such as plastic for up to 3 days. This just goes to show that this outbreak is unlike anyone has seen and is surpassing expectations. The CDC urges everyone to continue to take the necessary precautions to remain healthy and to help keep others healthy as well. As always, the best defense against this illness is to wash your hands consistently with soap and warm water, keep your hands away from your eyes, mouth, nose, and ears, stay away from those that are sick, and practice social distancing. If you feel as if you have symptoms of the Coronavirus, contact healthcare officials immediately.
